Poker Strategy Tips -Psychological Warfare

When playing Poker it’s essential to use some psychological strategies in order to win. It’s not just a game of cards. Poker is a game of psychological warfare which means it’s not always the best cards that wins. Mostly It’s when a player makes everyone else at the table think he actually got the better hand.
First thing is a high level of confidence in yourself to make the right plays. It’s a crucial to have faith in your ability -You’re not going to win big at poker unless you have the courage and conviction to play for large pots. If you’re feeling down and doubting your abilities, you’re going to have huge trouble at the battle. If you face such a situation focus on remembering your past successes and how you achieved them. Concentrate on how you should play now even though it does not seem to work.
Reading another players hand is one of the key skills you must be developing in order to succeed at the Poker table. After few rounds you may notice the physical aspects of your poker opponents with all sorts of little nuances. The hesitation when it comes time to bet, an air of resignation when opponents take three cards, the confident when betting with an excellent hand. You have to keep your poker face, try to read everybody else’s poker face. The less you care about the cards you got, the less you reveal about those cards. Apathy helps mostly when bluffing, which is when your poker face is really supposed to matter.
Bluffing is an important tool in every successful poker player’s arsenal. When bluffing, it’s important to choose the right spot when you decide to bluff. Need to consider how your opponent has acted up to this point and the texture of the board. Bluffing is important element feature at the Poker game and if you never bluff you will become too predictable. In order to make successful bluffs you need timing and understanding your opponents. It is better to use this technique when there aren’t many other players in a pot or you are in late position and everyone else checked.
Another strategy is to chat with opponents while the game is played. This can work to not only distract the them from the game and breaking their concentration, but it also serves to make them leak out clues and tells to their strengths and weaknesses.

Full Tilt Durrrr Million Dollar Challenge E01 5/10

The finale of the Full Tilt Poker Million Dollar Challenge in London featured sponsored pro Tom durrrr Dwan taking Sammy Any Two George for a colossal $750000. Dwan entered the contest up over $40000 after facing Marcello luckexpress Marigliano and Ilari Ziigmund Sahamies. The battle between Dwan and George featured a 7-2 bonus, similar to a promotion youd find at some of the worlds largest online poker sites. If either Dwan or George scooped a pot with the worst starting hand in poker, theyd claim a $10000 reward. Dwan, as expected, went all-out to claim it, including pushing for $400000 on a board of JA-6-3-3 with three hearts with just 7-2. George tanked for over five minutes before finally releasing A-6 for two pair. Dwan flipped over his bluff, raking the pot and the $10000 bonus. George commented after his nearly $1 million thumping, The turning point was the bluff with the 7-2 when I had the two-pair, but I cannot call there for three times the pot. The game was in his favor, he was hitting cards and rivering cards, but I respect Tom a lot and always will. Hes one of the best in the world and I think hes up there with Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius. I think when people see the show, they will have a different opinion of me from what they had before. George was originally slated to appear on the sixth season of GSNs High Stakes Poker, joining Dwan, Ivey, and Antonius, but was a no-show when taping commenced in Las Vegas. Dwan and George bought in for $500000 each and

Las Vegas loses to… Pennsylvania?

Las Vegas, Strip, Eiffel Tower, neon. traffic

Yep, it was bound to happen, but perhaps the bounds didn't have to be broken so fast. In the form of taxes collected from gaming revenue, in the fiscal year that ended on June 30, Pennsylvania has now beaten Las Vegas by almost 35 percent… $1.1 billion vs. $831 million. Even Indiana (which much of Chicago visits, primarily the Harrah's Horseshoe in Hammond, IN.) beat out our fine neon city at $878 million in tax revenue. Even in this economy, gambling is here to stay. It's just that tourists would rather stay in their backyard than visit Las Vegas.
